Welcome To Paul Bradley Art
1986 marked my first of many trips to Italy. I followed ‘Turner’s Trail’, visiting Florence, Rome, Naples, Capri, Sienna and Venice, taking in Lake Lugano and Lake Como. This was a pinnacle trip for me, influencing me to use a lighter palette as the light of the Mediterranean gave me a different means of expression. Italy has given me a constant source of inspiration. However, apart from Venice, I particularly love the island of Capri and the Amalfi Coast line.
Throughout my various working roles, I have always maintained my creativity as a person and as a painter and artist. As an artist, you have to keep your vocation alive and well. I have been fortunate to have had exhibitions in Venice, Capri, and Rome and further afield in Boston, America. As well as throughout Britain and Ireland.
From 2004-2016, I was a gallery artist at the Focus Fine Art Gallery in Nottingham. Having had several successful solo exhibitions.
Although I would say I have always been a landscape and seascape artist predominantly, I have endeavoured to complete some elements of portraiture. As a painter, I am aware that I have tried to develop and extend my skills as an artist. The projects that I am currently involved in, include the following: for the past fifteen years I have been learning how to create a garden and grow, particular flowers. My favourites are many; I love my Wisteria and its beautiful bouquet. I have visited the Chelsea Flower Show twice in the past four years and fell head over heels when I discovered the Bearded Irises. So, I created an iris bed in my garden which is still developing.
